“KVA is a collaboration with European Designer Kris Van Assche, who is now the Artistic Director for Dior Homme. Reona Ueda, an artist currently based in Tokyo, wrote us today telling about his latest project called 1.7. The project is produced in collaboration with Studio NEWWORK and are a part of the project Global Identity, which are showcased in the latest issue of their magazine.
1.7 is a wearable piece of art inspired by kanzashi, a traditional Japanese hair ornament. It is composed of spiraling text and enriched with handmade representations of Japanese native plants, and is to me a very intriguing piece of art.
